Like many new products, Leisure Boat Lift was developed out of necessity. Boats cost more than ever, and are usually a major investment. Lake front property should be enjoyed with peace of mind and very little maintenance. We have introduced a Lifter, that is not only strong and simple in design, but very appealing. It offers many built in features demanded in today's market place. Leisure Boat Lift is manufactured in Vernon B.C.. Since 1985, it is well received on many western Canadian lakes and also copied, no license, in Ontario, since 2001. Over 1200 units are in use, as far away as Donner Lake, Truckee Ca. near Reno Nevada, USA. Leisure Boat Lift is free standings & self-supported , from the lake bottom for use in fresh water. It's great for every day use, drive on, drive off any time. No need to tie the boat up or tether from a buoy and anchor. Hoist your boat day and night, spring or fall. Winter storage is fine, providing you winterize your boat. Leisure Boat Lift, LBL for short, is similar to a fork lift and does not attach to your dock for support. Its carpeted bunks align under the boat like a pocket or holster effect. The lift height gives you safe storage no matter how much normal lake levels rise or fall. Driving onto the lift is easier than navigating onto your boat trailer, and no getting wet. The lift mechanism is a chain hoist. Turning the 29" crank wheel is quite easy at less than 20 ft. lbs. of rolling torque. This means that anyone can help you lift your boat to safety. Twenty four revolutions of the crank wheel equals 12" of lift height. You can make 48 turns in 1 minute if necessary, and 20 turns will already have your boat safe and secure. LBL is great for cleaning and maintaining your boat conveniently next to your dock. Maintaining your boat at deck height is a pleasure. You won't be interrupted by waves or low lake level access when sprucing up the cutty or helm. LBL will stand the test of time. We use the finest materials and hardware to make sure your boat is always ready to go and always safe for many years on the lake.
Bolt on kits are optional and can be installed to accommodate swing keel sail boats, tournament ski boats and tunnel hull boats. The lift can be set beside even floating docks, and positioned in the best way for it to operate all year round as effectively as possible. Leisure Boat Lift is very safe to be around and safe for anyone to operate. It is designed with rounded or carpeted corners and edges. LBL lends to bad weather landing, because the cradle section is not latterly attached. It is almost impossible to damage the boat or the lift, and it's nice just looking out for the one tower so you can easily navigate your boat to safe storage. When rough water operation is unlikely for most other boat lifts, Leisure Boat Lift provides a --no guess landing and stop. Once the bow of the boat is near the center, the boat will follow through the bunks until the leg bumps on the stop of the cradle. Questions? View our ANSWERS page especially.
Leisure Boat Lift is fabricated with steel, prepared for submersion in fresh water and doesn't start the rusting process common to the auto industry. These heavy steel components will last for many, many years. Washed and sand blasted, the steel that is fabricated gets two coats of epoxy high build submersible coating. The spray application is Methyl Ethel Ketone ( ketone (pronounced /ˈkiːtoʊn/ KEE-toan) is a type of organic compound that features one carbonyl group (C=O) bonded to two other carbon ) base, self etching epoxy finish. Leisure Boat lift Components have been tested past their listed limits. This is to ensure long lasting performance for more than 25 years. We are monitoring some LBLs that were installed in 1985, and they are still going strong. The load rating of the standard LBL is for a boat that weighs in at 5000lbs. dry, or less. Boat length measured at 24 ft. or less. There is five years warranty on Leisure Boat Lift structural and mechanical components. Thirty days on carpet and epoxy finish, proof of good application only. There's a one year guarantee on the install of the lift, proof again of good placement against movement of the lift.
