Brake Pad Cleaning

 Like any brakes, over time they are worn very slightly, after becoming hot, then glazed and shiny with their own
brake dust. If your lift seems to be rough and chatters as it moves downwards, lowering the full load of the boat,

your brakes may need to be removed and cleaned. This is an operation of removing the chain hoist, deconstructing
the inside of the hoist and cleaning the brakes thoroughly, before putting together and replacing the hoist.
